Mayyun Organization condemns the Houthi crime in Al-Bayda… a blatant violation of human rights
Mayyun Organization condemns in the strongest terms the horrific crime committed by the armed Houthi group on the morning of Tuesday, March 19 by bombing the homes of several families in the city of Radaa, Al Bayda Governorate, leaving 12 dead and 8 wounded civilians, most of them women and children.
Our monitors in Radaa confirm that an armed campaign led by the supervisor of the Houthi group in Radaa, called “Abu Hussein Al-Harman,” began bombing the homes of the Al-Naqus and Al-Zayla’i families in the Al-Hafra neighborhood in the city of Radaa, which led to the destruction of a number of neighboring homes and their collapse on top of the heads of their residents, including the women and children in them.
This crime is a blatant violation of human rights and the Houthi group’s insistence on the policy of bombing homes and forcibly displacing residents to terrorize citizens and take revenge on those who oppose it.
The Office of the United Nations Envoy, the embassies of countries accredited to Yemen, and international organizations are concerned with official condemnations of these violations, demanding the need to protect civilians, and referring to them in the monthly UN briefing to the Security Council, while warning that they and other violations undermine the United Nations peace efforts in Yemen.
