A statement condemning the attack that Dr. Al-Kebsi was subjected to in Sana’a

Mayyun Organization strongly condemns the physical attack that Dr. Ibrahim Ismail Al-Kebsi was subjected to on Tuesday by an armed group in Sana’a against the backdrop of his writings and blogs opposing the Houthi group and his repeated demands to pay the salaries of government employees

As we declare our solidarity with Dr. Al-Kebsi against this attack, which led to a broken wrist and other physical damage in addition to the smashing of his car, we affirm that this intimidation aims to force the victim to give up his right to express his opinions, especially since the incident comes a few weeks after the journalist Mojli was exposed. Al-Samady was subjected to a similar attack by armed elements belonging to the Houthi group

Committing this violation against Al-Kebsi in Sana’a, which is under the control of the Houthi group, required it to arrest the perpetrators, uncover the circumstances of the crime, and provide protection for Dr. Al-Kebsi and the rest of the journalists, activists, and those opposed to its authority.
