Mayyun Organization condemns the assassination of journalist Saber Al-Haidari

We condemn in the strongest terms the assassination of journalist Saber Al-Haidari on Wednesday evening, June 15, 2022, by detonating an explosive device in his car in the temporary Yemeni capital, Aden, which also killed two other civilians and injured another civilian. The details of this heinous crime, which affected a journalist from Al-Hodeidah governorate working for Asian media in Yemen, represent another tragedy for the press in Yemen, bringing to our minds the killing of journalist Rasha Al-Harazi and the injury of her husband, journalist Mahmoud Al-Atmi, on November 9, 2021, in a similar assassination. We at Mayyun stand with the families of the innocent victims, expressing to them our deepest condolences and our wish for a speedy recovery. We call on the security authorities in Aden to quickly investigate, track down the perpetrators, bring them to justice, and ensure that they do not go unpunished.
