Mayyun Organization condemns Houthi forced displacement of civilians from villages south of Hodeidah

We have received reports from local residents in Al-Jarrahi district confirming the occurrence of forced displacement of the people of the villages of Al-Ghaswa, Bani Shuaib, Al-Akda, Bani Al-Khalouf and Al-Khabat in the district located south of Al-Hodeidah.

These violations will add new suffering to the families displaced from their homes and multiply the burdens on the host communities and humanitarian organizations working in Al Hudaydah, which are already suffering from a lack of funding.

Mayyun condemns these violations and irresponsible practices by the Houthi group, which come in the midst of international calls for the parties to the conflict to grant the United Nations Mission in Hodeidah access to monitor the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement.
